Our Speedy Gal

Eleanor has spent the last few weeks working on her speed. She's not running yet, but I'm sure the next month will bring us close. It is fun to watch her amble around. She loves to drag her quilt along behind her. Today she's spent a lot of time walking back and forth across the living room, moving blocks from their basket to a new pile by the front door. She also powered through the library, drawn to and fro by the friendly people she saw, the miniature horse display and of course, books!

Seth, Ellie and I took advantage of the beautiful weather a few days ago and headed out for a walk. Eleanor did wonderfully once she got used to the unevenness of the sidewalk. Her favorite thing to do outside these days is collect rocks. Of course, she sees bigger kids pick up bigger rocks and she wants to pick up the same ones. I'm pretty impressed with her upper body strength!

Ellie also loves to push her stroller. She holds on to the back axle, puts her head down and pushes as hard and fast as she can. It's actually pretty hard to keep up with her! Yesterday she got to push the cart at the grocery store. Seth said he really had to hold her back - she's a speed demon for sure.

Wow... look at her go! She is looking so sturdy and really knows where she is going. What a fun age.
