Christmas Trees

We decided 2 slightly different things for our family this year in regard to Christmas trees: we would get 2 - one for upstairs and one for downstairs - and we would head up into the Big Horn Mountains to find them and cut them ourselves. We've done the u-cut trees before when we lived in Oregon and tree farms were everywhere... but we've never just gone up to the mountains, found some good looking woods and tracked down a few trees. It was an adventure with Eleanor and London in tow, but super fun! We took along a couple of friends as well. Although it was tough carrying Ella while tramping through a foot and a half of snow, we all had a good time and we headed home with 2 beautiful, fresh trees.

The downstairs tree:
The upstairs tree (with 900 lights on it!):
And, just a picture of Ella taken this morning at breakfast. She was eating "emma" or in English "oatmeal":
We'll post more pics once we've gotten the trees decorated. Last night I got all the lights on them, but putting lights on 2 trees is a lot of work! Especially when I went all out and completely decked out the upstairs tree...
