Christmas Part I

Christmas morning we woke up late (7:30ish), got Ella dressed - so she'd be cute in Christmas pics, of course - and had a waffle breakfast. Then we went at the huge pile of presents under our tree. Eleanor started us off with some great little packets of coal. Thanks Matt and Natasa!
Ella enjoyed snooping under the tree, picking out packages to be opened. For the most part, we let her decide what should be opened when.
Hmmm. What's this? More coal? Fantastic!
Eleanor loved opening "pesents." She ripped the paper like a pro this year. She was also very excited about the toys that appeared from inside. She always demanded things to be "app-el!" as soon as she saw them (opened). Here she is with a great little tractor book from Kayli. Very exciting!
Some serious present opening.
Yay! It's a horse - or "orsey."
I love this picture because it shows how she went at things with both hands. :)
Oh, bliss!, a kitty purse from "Gobber" (Grandma). Ella loves to put this over her shoulder and announce that she's leaving for a "trip." "Bye-bye. Car. Keys. 'Later."
The purse was filled with all kinds of goodies... including a hair brush, thus the missing piggy-tail all of a sudden, and chapstick. Ella is still having a hard time understanding that chapstick goes on your lips and not your chin...
Mommy and Daddy got Eleanor a play tent and crawl tube. So much fun!
And here I thought we just needed to document the fact that Mommy was there, too. :)
It was a very happy Christmas. This morning was only a small piece of the whole day... check out our next posts for what else happened on Christmas Day.

Yeah for pictures! I love that you made Ella dress fancy, and you guys got to lounge in pj's... very nice.

Claire got that same tent for Christmas. It is quite a hit around here.
