Ohp-ee!

Eleanor has learned several new words in the last few days... some of which we understand and some that are still question marks.

Two days ago Ellie woke up yelling, "Ohb-ee ba! Ohb-ee ba!" She continued using the "words" throughout the day. Eventually they morphed into "ohp-ee." After talking it over with Seth and watching her for another day, we finally figured out that she's saying "open." She wants doors, the refrigerator, bananas, etc all "ohp-ee!" It's her new favorite word. Every once in a while it will sound a bit more like open, but most of the time she emphasizes the ee sound.

While on a long run this morning, Eleanor pointed to a duck and said, "duck." Amazing.

She's also recently added "wa-tay" (water) and "puppy" to her vocabulary.

We're having fun with these new developments, but it's also caused Ellie some frustration. She gets pretty upset when we don't understand what she's trying to tell us (or when we don't do what she wants).
