"No."

This morning's breakfast conversation went like this:

"Eleanor, would you like a banana?"
"Ba," meanwhile shaking her head, "No."
"Um, are you sure? Aren't you still hungry?"
Shaking her head decisively, "No. Up!"
"Okay. Are you all done?"
Ellie grabs Joe's Os in both hands and reaches toward the sky. "Up! Up! Up!"
Then she eats the discarded Joe's Os from the floor around her highchair.
"Are you still hungry?"
Shaking her head, Ellie says, "No!"
"Hey, when did you learn to say no anyway?"
She grins at me and walks away.

This sounds like our house! The favorite word from Peyton's mouth is "NO!" even if she means yes?! SO, welcome to the toddler club Ellie! All you have to do is say "No" and you are a member! ;) Good luck to mom!

Ha Ha! I love it. I can tell that she is going to have fun with "no".
