"Up!" Ellie points to the fruit basket. "Open!"
I let her lean forward in my arms. Out comes a pear.
"Okay, but you must sit in your highchair to eat it," I say, sit her down and wash the fruit. I hand her the pear. She seriously digs in.
"Ooh. Look what my teeth did..."
"So yummy!"

We are no strangers to serious eaters in this house, so that look of concentration on her face is quite familiar! :^) Who knew that pear eating was so serious?
